The sun was shining on the grassy fields of Jericho Beach for the 41st Vancouver Folk Festival last weekend. The lineup boasted of folk musicians ranging from the new and emerging to the well-known, mainstream kingpins. Headliners Neko Case, The Dead South and Ry Cooder drew crowds but not without the help of the smaller acts who enthusiastically built up the audience’s energy every day.
